For the past two decades, Angelo Robert Santamaria has advanced technology, created global markets, and reduced expenses for firms in the Boston area in Massachusetts. Outside of his work as a global manufacturing operations leader, Angelo R. Santamaria supports the Jimmy Fund.
Founded in 1948, the Jimmy Fund raises funds to support cancer research and care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The fund’s support comes largely from grassroots involvement across the United States, as well as hundreds of charity events that range from theater collections and golf tournaments to the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge and the Falmouth Road Race.
Sponsored by New Balance, the Falmouth Road Race is a seven-mile-long running event that takes place annually in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Thousands of runners compete in the event each year, which recently celebrated its 46th running. The race draws Olympians as well as recreational runners, all of whom compete for prizes totaling $199,000. The top 10 male and female finishers receive awards totaling $78,500, while the top three finishers in the American, Masters, and Wheelchair divisions also receive monetary awards.
